We’re very excited to introduce our first Teen-Only day camp: Keepers of the Arrow.
The camp will form a tight knit unit during their week at camp by starting with the basics of shooting technique and arrow making. Shooting exercises will be based around target shooting, and increase in difficulty throughout the week. If the “Keepers of the Arrow” proves their maturity and skill, they will move on to advanced drills such as moving and aerial targets.
The Camps purpose, however, is not showmanship, but rather the proficiency and stealth of archers. They will progress through training in scouting, camouflage and natural movement through the forest. They will set up their own camp site in the forest, and create traditions specific to their group and their own interests.
The Forests Archers goal is to remain unseen by the rest of camp for the entire week, while having their own camp away from main camp. (Ok, minus swim time. An archer has to cool down!) During LES camp traditions such as Mud Day, the camp will have it’s own set of missions to accomplish during the game.
While the intent of the “Forest Archers” is focus, skill, and stealth, all of that will be accomplished through scenarios, games, and team-building that reflect the insanely-fun nature that is at the core of the Living Earth School. Come join us for a week of fun!
